Job Description
The successful candidate will engage in research on thin-film growth using Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD). Responsibilities include:
- Developing processes and equipment for CVD.
- Conducting fundamental materials science studies of thin films synthesized with CVD.
- Application-oriented studies in collaboration with industrial partners.
- Supervising thesis students and collaborating internally within the department.
- Conducting independent research and potentially teaching up to 20% of working hours.
- Focusing on CVD of primarily carbonitrides and oxides, with opportunities to explore own research ideas within the program.
Requirements
- PhD Degree: In materials science, chemistry, or a related field, awarded by the employment decision date.
- Expertise in CVD: Both theoretical and practical expertise, with a strong publication record in CVD.
- English Proficiency: Excellent spoken and written English.
- Collaborative Skills: Ability to work well within a team, drive, and independence.
- Complementary Skills: Experience that enhances and supports ongoing departmental research.
Desirable Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge and experience in modeling CVD processes and/or materials theory.
