Postdoctoral Position in Inorganic Chemistry: Uppsala University, Department of Chemistry – Ångström Laboratory, is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a Postdoctoral Position in Inorganic Chemistry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the development of Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) activities within the research program for inorganic chemistry, focusing on thin-film growth and fundamental materials science studies.

  • Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher
  • Research Area: Thin-film growth using Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), development of CVD processes and equipment, fundamental materials science studies of thin films synthesized with CVD, and application-oriented studies in collaboration with industrial partners.
  • Location: Uppsala, Sweden
  • Eligibility/Qualification:
  • PhD degree in materials science, chemistry, or similar, or an equivalent foreign degree obtained by the time of employment decision.
  • Three or less years since obtaining the PhD degree, with possible extensions under specific circumstances.
  • Broad and deep expertise in CVD, both theoretical and practical, demonstrated through a strong track record of publications in the field.
  • Excellent proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Job Description:
  • Conduct research in the area of thin-film growth using CVD, with a particular focus on developing and characterizing processes for CVD of carbonitrides and oxides.
  • Supervise thesis students and collaborate with industrial partners.
  • Engage in internal collaborations, including with doctoral candidates, and contribute to the future development of the department’s CVD research activities.
