Job Description:
The selected candidate will work on the inpatient Transplant Infectious Diseases services for approximately 8 months under the supervision of Infectious Diseases faculty. This will involve regular weekend coverage and work over major holidays. Additionally, the position offers 3 months of elective time for pursuing scholarly activities and further specialized training. The role also includes teaching responsibilities for medical students, residents, and fellows during general Infectious Diseases service.
The focus of this position is to provide advanced training in Transplant Infectious Diseases and facilitate exposure to a diverse range of patients including those undergoing heart, lung, liver, and kidney transplantation, ventricular assist device implantation, and individuals with hematologic malignancies undergoing hematopoietic cell transplantation.
