Eligibility/Qualifications:

  • PhD (or nearing completion of PhD degree)
  • Strong record of productivity with accepted or in-press first-author publications in peer-reviewed journals
  • Experience in RNA biology and/or cancer research
  • Excellent communication and writing skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in mammalian cell culture and basic molecular biology techniques such as molecular cloning, RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, western blotting, and microscopy
  • Experience with computational analysis of sequencing data is advantageous

Job Description:
The successful candidate will be part of a well-established research group led by Dr. Olga Anczuków, focusing on elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying splicing factor regulations in normal and cancer cells. The primary research goals include defining splicing pathways in cancer, identifying splicing alterations in breast tumors, and exploring potential splicing biomarkers for disease prediction and therapeutic targeting. The research employs cutting-edge techniques such as RNA-targeting CRISPR, RNA-sequencing, and single-cell approaches utilizing 3D cell culture models and mouse xenografts.
