PostDoctoral Fellow at University of North Carolina: The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Scholar to work on an NSF-sponsored project titled “Collaborative Research: Broadening Instructional Innovation in the Chemistry Laboratory through Excellence in Curriculum Development.”

- Eligibility/Qualification: Candidates must hold or be earning a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry Education Research, STEM Education Research, or a closely related field. Expertise in qualitative and/or quantitative research methods, excellent writing skills, a record of scholarly publications, strong organizational and communication skills, and a willingness to learn new skills and mentor students are preferred qualifications. Previous experience studying faculty is advantageous.
Job Description:
- The postdoctoral scholar will be responsible for a significant portion of data collection and analysis to characterize the impact of professional development on laboratory curriculum developers’ thinking and practices. Duties include designing assessments and protocols, data collection, data analysis, and dissemination of results through manuscripts and presentations at conferences. The position requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple deadlines concurrently. The position also offers opportunities for participation in external proposal writing.
