Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related discipline
  • Proficiency in Python, Fortran, C/C++, or related programming languages
  • Fluent in English – written and oral

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Interest or experience in Marine Sciences
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux systems
  • Basic knowledge of statistical estimation methods
  • Understanding of data assimilation methodology

Job Description:

  • Develop ensemble-based data assimilation methods for integrating optical satellite data
  • Apply methods with the Regulated Ecosystem Model (REcoM) and analyze results
  • Publish and present research outcomes in peer-reviewed journals and conferences
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on real-world model applications
