PhD Scholarship Opportunity in Polymetric Lipid Formulations for Nucleic Acid Therapeutics Delivery

Location: Eindhoven University of Technology, Netherlands

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Master’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biomedical Science, Polymer Chemistry, or Molecular Pharmaceutics.
  • Proficiency in at least three of the following: organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, supramolecular chemistry.
  • Experience in cell biology and/or pharmaceutical research is advantageous.
  • Research-oriented mindset and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team.
  • Interest in teaching and mentoring students.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English (C1 level).

Job Description:
The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing a polymer library using controlled radical polymerization methods with a focus on protonatable side chains and alkyl moieties. This project will involve the development and optimization of lipid-like polymers to enhance the delivery of nucleic acid therapeutics. Additionally, the candidate will take part in the NATPRIME doctoral network, interact with international partners, and contribute to the chemical biology cluster of the Department of Biomedical Engineering.
