Eligibility/Qualification

  • Required:
  • Master’s degree in Biomedicine, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
  • Documented experience in CRISPR, lentiviral vectors, FACS, and cell sorting.
  • Experience with the purification and in vitro culture of primary hematopoietic stem cells and differentiation assays.
  • Strong theoretical knowledge of the ubiquitin-proteasome system and hematopoiesis.
  • Proficiency in English with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Additional Qualifications:
  • Training/experience with confocal microscopy is a plus.
  • Previous research experience in related projects.

Description

The PhD candidate will engage in research to explore how ubiquitin ligases regulate key cellular processes such as the cell cycle, differentiation, and DNA damage response in hematopoietic stem cells. The successful candidate will employ CRISPR and proteomics assays, working on primary hematopoietic stem cells in collaboration with Lund University Hospital and national infrastructure. Responsibilities will also include attending seminars, writing manuscripts, and training students.
