Job Description

The successful Postdoctoral Research Associate will be responsible for:

  • Breeding and maintaining genetic mouse lines.
  • Conducting cellular and molecular biology research including bulk RNA-sequencing, scRNA-sequencing, bioinformatics, qRT-PCR, proteomics, and metabolomics, among others.
  • Performing in vivo physiological examinations such as echocardiography and treadmill tests.
  • Developing and preparing adenoviral and adeno-associated viral constructs.
  • Managing laboratory operations and safety protocols.
  • Writing manuscripts for publication and participating in grant proposal preparations.
  • Presenting research findings at group meetings and conferences.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of scRNA-sequencing, bioinformatics, in vivo physiological studies.
  • Proficiency in cardiovascular physiology, particularly echocardiography and microsurgery techniques.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
