Job Description
The selected candidate will:
- Develop AI solutions to analyze billion-scale mass spectrometry-based metabolomics data and investigate the role of small molecules.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of machine learning applications for large-scale biomolecular data interpretation problems.
- Assist in research projects in computational mass spectrometry and bioinformatics, collaborating with partners in the biotechnology sector.
- Help coordinate project proposals in bioinformatics and the life sciences, aiming to attract external funding.
- Supervise PhD students and other team members and fulfill limited teaching responsibilities.
- Participate in academic services and represent the research group both internally and externally.
Profile
- Hold a relevant PhD by the start date.
- Research and teaching qualities aligned with the university’s standards.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with scientific and deep learning libraries (e.g., PyTorch, NumPy, Scikit-Learn).
- Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
- Inquisitive mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
