Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in Atmospheric Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, or a relevant scientific field.
- Demonstrable solid publication record in recognized peer-reviewed journals and international conferences.
- Track record of attracting and completing research grants.
- At least three years of relevant prior experience (e.g., Associate Research Scientist).
- Skills in data analysis relevant to new particle formation instrumentation (e.g., chemical ionization mass spectrometry, ultrafine particle counters).
- Proven mentoring and team leadership capabilities.
- Proficiency in English and excellent communication skills.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will:
- Conduct and lead research activities based on the center’s research targets, focusing on aerosol formation.
- Lead a research team while collaborating with CyI faculty and other research groups.
- Contribute to the ERC-funded project The role of Base molecules in Aerosol formation.
- Actively engage in international field campaigns, workshops, and lab experiments (CLOUD experiment at CERN).
- Mentor and supervise graduate students and postdoctoral researchers.
- Secure funding for sustaining and expanding research initiatives.
- Publish regularly in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences.
- Organize and participate in dissemination activities to promote recognition of research efforts.
