About- The total area of the campus of MANIT is 650 acres and protected by a boundary wall and ring road. The entire campus consists of the administrative and academic building, workshop, Library and community center, Residential area accommodation for students and staff and other general amenities such as a post office, shopping complex, a school for children, dispensary, an auditorium with the capacity of 1000 persons and sports complex with vast expanses of open area.

Eminent scientists, engineers, other professionals working in renowned R&D organizations and faculty members from the institutes of National/ international Importance holding permanent post or retired are eligible to apply.
Retired persons will also be considered, except for faculty retired from MANIT Bhopal.

It will be same as those of regular faculty recruitment as per prevailing RR norms (copy enclosed), for the levels of Professor/ Associate/ Assistant Professor Levels respectively.
Adjunct Faculty: (Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor)

Job/Position Description-
Applications are invited for the position of Visiting Faculty and Adjunct Faculty from reputed industries, R&D Institutions, National/International Institutes/ Universities. The aim of this position is to promote excellence in teaching, research, development Institution-Industry networks and to facilitate interactions.
Duties:
- Design, Development and offer contextual market-need based courses
- Connect students to appropriate industry and stakeholders.
- Create opportunities and develop institute-industry collaborations
- Mentoring students to take-up innovative and enterprising Projects.
- Explore, Develop and create Research Ecosystem and fetch funded projects.
Modes of Engagement & Eligibility
Visiting Faculty:(Professor/ Associate Professor/ Assistant Professor)
Objective:
Eminent Researchers and Academicians from renowned R&D organization and Institutes of National importance/ International universities holding permanent post and having minimum 15 years of professional experience. The visiting faculty would spend full time in the Institute, involving in Research/ mentoring and interacting with faculty and students. The visiting faculty positions can be offered at Professor/ Associate Professor/ Assistant Professor levels based on qualification and experience.
Categories of Engagement from: (i) Research (ii) Academia
Adjunct Faculty: (Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor)
- Objective:
Eminent Researchers and Academicians from renowned R&D organization and Institutes of National importance/ International universities holding permanent post and having minimum 15 years of professional experience. The adjunct faculty would spend short durations at NIT Bhopal on regular intervals with defined commitments. The adjunct faculty positions can be offered at Professor/ Associate Professor/ Assistant Professor levels based on qualification and experience.
Duration of the assignment:
Initially 1 year, extended up to 3 years or up to the age of 70 years, whichever is earlier. The extension after 1 year will be based on performance and on the recommendation of the committee. In case of multiple visits, each visit shall be of minimum one week.
Honorarium:
- Visiting Faculty: The monthly honorarium will be INR1.2 Lakhs, 1.0 Lakhs and 0.8 lakhs respectively for Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor.Pay protection will be done for in- office serving candidates. In case of retired Government Servants (under old pension scheme), the remuneration shall be last basic pay drawn minus pension.
- Adjunct Faculty:
- They shall receive no salary, fee nor any other compensation for their services. All direct expenses such as travel, accommodation, preparation of lecture material etc shall be reimbursed at actuals.
- Adjunct faculty may receive financial support at the discretion of the director to attend conferences in India or abroad for presenting their work done in the institute, if in the opinion of the director, he has contributed significantly to the institute’s academic programme.
- Reimbursement of expenses: Applicable expenses incurred up to INR 20,000 shall be reimbursed on monthly basis.
- Selection Process:
- All appointment shall be made by the Director, based on the recommendations of a duly constituted screening cum selection committee.
- The extension after 1 year will be based on performance and on the recommendation of the committee after rigorous review.

This may include a brief teaching and research statement for MANIT Bhopal.
