Eligibility/Qualification:
- Master’s degree in biology, microbiology, bioinformatics, aquatic biology, water science, or related fields.
- Previous experience with bioinformatics regarding microbes and their viruses is preferred.
- Proficiency in a programming language (e.g., R, Julia, Python) is an advantage.
- Evidence of self-directed learning, independent work skills, and critical thinking.
- Strong team spirit and excellent communication and writing skills in English.
Description:
The position involves participation in the research project focusing on the response of viral and host microdiversity to multiple stressors (salt, flow velocity, temperature, and drought) in freshwater ecosystems. The successful candidate will use metagenomics and bioinformatics methods to explore the microbial diversity in river sediments under stress.
