Description
The successful candidate will work on developing control systems for wearable robots aimed at influencing the motor control of walking. Distinguishing between conventional robotic gait therapy and gait entrainment, the PhD project focuses on applying torque pulses to encourage subconscious adaptation in walking patterns. This role includes opportunities for mechanical design, predictive control systems development, gait biomechanics research, and collaboration with clinical populations. The candidate will have the chance to publish their research and present at national and international conferences while contributing to the education of Bachelor’s and Master’s students.
How to Apply
Applicants should submit their applications by following these guidelines:
- A cover letter detailing your interests, motivation, and fit for the project (maximum 1 page A4).
- A 2-minute video presenting yourself, your motivation, and relevant research experience and skills.
- A full CV, including your English proficiency level, nationality & visa requirements, experience overview, and any publications.
- Academic transcripts from Bachelor and Master’s education, including grades.
