Eligibility/Qualification

  • Required Qualifications:
  • Doctoral Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Proteomics, Chemical Biology, Biochemistry, or a closely related field in hand by 02/28/2025.
  • Experience with western blotting and mammalian cell culture.
  • First authored publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with proteomics sample preparation and liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS).
  • Experience with proteomics data analysis.
  • Proficient in western blotting analysis and the enrichment of post-translational modified proteins or peptides.
  • First authored publication in peer-reviewed proteomics-related journals.

Job Description

The Postdoctoral Associate will operate within the laboratory led by Dr. Wei Yang, contributing to innovative research on cancer metastasis. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting research experiments in cancer proteomics within a defined research scope.
  • Collecting, analyzing data, and utilizing specialized skills for in-depth analysis.
  • Participating in manuscript writing and publication efforts for scientific journals.
  • Assisting in grant writing and lab maintenance, including equipment upkeep and inventory management.
  • Attending scientific conferences and meetings as required.

The position is based in the Medical and Research Translation (MART) building, featuring state-of-the-art resources and technology.
