Postdoctoral Researcher in CO2 Capture: The Electrochemical Energy Systems Laboratory in the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering at ETH Zurich invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position focused on light-driven CO2 capture. The successful candidate will contribute to the group’s efforts in developing a novel photoacid-based approach for efficient CO2 capture, optimizing both the local chemical environment in photoacids and their molecular structure to enhance sorption capacity and stability.

Location: Zurich, Switzerland

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field
  • Experience with in situ spectroscopy is a plus
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Self-driven, highly motivated, and strong teamwork skills
