Research Associate in Synthetic Biology: Imperial College London is seeking a postdoctoral researcher for a 24-month contract (with the possibility of extension) to work in the dynamic field of synthetic biology. Eligibility/QualificationPhD in synthetic biology, molecular biology, metabolic engineering, microbial biotechnology (or equivalent). Candidates close to completing their PhDs with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.

Job Description:
The appointed researcher will:

  • Collaborate closely with renowned researchers, including Dr. Reiko Tanaka, Dr. Marc Guell, and Dr. Ellen van den Bogaard.
  • Leverage state-of-the-art synthetic biology tools and laboratory automation technologies.
  • Contribute to projects addressing key challenges in biotechnology and biomedicine.

Ideal candidates should have experience with synthetic biology tools, particularly in manipulating bacteria and/or yeast strains. Familiarity with Golden Gate cloning techniques will be an advantage.
