Collaborative Doctoral Partnership Programme: The Collaborative Doctoral Partnership Programme (CDP) provides an exciting opportunity for higher education institutions (HEIs) and universities to collaborate with the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission on doctoral research projects. The programme promotes dual PhD projects, enabling candidates to gain valuable insights into policy-oriented research while enhancing their academic and professional skills.

Candidates will split their research time between their home university and one of the JRC campuses located in:

- Petten, Netherlands
- Geel, Belgium
- Karlsruhe, Germany
- Brussels, Belgium
- Sevilla, Spain
Eligibility/Qualification
- HEIs/universities must:
- Originate from an EU Member State or a country associated with the EU Research Framework Programme.
- Be entitled to award doctoral degrees and have administrative autonomy.
- Institutions that are not accredited HEIs/universities may also apply in collaboration with an eligible university.
Description
Successful applicants will establish a scientific collaboration with the JRC to jointly design, host, and supervise PhD projects. While candidates will cover costs during their time at their home institutions, the JRC will provide funding (including salary and training costs) when they are on JRC premises. The application involves submitting proposals for the collaborative research topics, and multiple proposals can be submitted by the same institution.
