Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Candidates must have received or will receive their doctoral degree by the beginning of the appointment (preferably within five years prior).
  • No citizenship requirement; visa sponsorship available for candidates.
  • Strong interest in interdisciplinary research with a solid background in power systems, machine learning, and optimization.
  • Familiarity with reinforcement learning or multi-agent systems is beneficial.

Job Description:

The Postdoctoral Research Associate will:

  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team focusing on power systems’ resilience to climate change.
  • Develop models and frameworks integrating climate-sensitive factors into utility planning.
  • Engage in real-world industry collaborations, incorporating practical insights into research.
  • Contribute to the development of multi-agent reinforcement learning frameworks to achieve objectives in expansion, transition, and resilience planning in climate-aware settings.
  • Disseminate research findings effectively to both academic and industry audiences.
