Eligibility/Qualification

  • Currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree in synthetic organic chemistry (preferably 3rd year or later).

  • Familiarity with characterization techniques such as NMR spectroscopy, UPLC, and IR spectroscopy.

Description

As a Ph.D. intern, the candidate will join the chemical synthesis team within Milliken’s Performance Colorants and Ingredients business. Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and executing multi-step chemical synthesis routes to access assigned targets.
  • Characterizing intermediates and final products using various techniques.
  • Maintaining detailed experimental records and observations.
  • Reporting results to the project team through regular meetings.
  • Capturing findings in a final report for the team.
