EducationFirst Class or Upper Second-Class degree in biological sciences (neuroscience preferred)
Additional QualificationMaster’s degree in related fields like neuroscience or computational neuroscience (desirable but not essential)
ExperiencePrior experience in wet-lab biology; data analysis skills (proficiency in programming languages like R, Python, etc.)
Language ProficiencyMust meet Imperial College London’s English language requirements

Description

This project aims to explore the role of Leucine-rich repeat kinase 2 (LRRK2) in the process of cellular senescence, particularly in the context of Parkinson’s Disease. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Nurun Fancy, Edmond and Lily Safra Fellow, benefitting from a supportive postgraduate community at Imperial.

Funding Details:

  • Full funding for tuition fees
  • Stipend of £21,237 per annum for 3.5 years
