Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, completed within the last 5 years.
- Strong quantitative and analytical research background applicable to advanced manufacturing technologies and sustainable practices.
- Preferred background in sustainable manufacturing, renewable energy, and energy efficiency management.
Job Description:
- Support technical assistance activities, including research and analysis of technologies for onsite renewable energy systems.
- Conduct market analyses to identify opportunities for onsite energy technologies in the industrial sector.
- Compose technical reports, create presentations, and publish peer-reviewed papers.
- Develop new resources, training, and tools for companies involved in the DOE’s Better Plants program.
- Collaborate with a diverse team in a fast-paced research environment and contribute to corporate sustainability initiatives.
