Research Area

The project straddles the fields of physics and Earth system science, focusing on the mechanisms of charge transport, especially in relation to Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) phenomena.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD degree (or equivalent) in Physics, Geophysics, Materials Science, Computation, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong background in scientific software development and computational modeling.
  • Proven track record of publishing in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
  • Excellent communication and academic writing skills in English.

Job Description

The postdoctoral researcher will:

  • Develop a universal simulation framework for charge carrier dynamics in luminescent materials.
  • Implement user-defined lattice structures for discrete electron- and hole-trapping sites based on defect distributions.
  • Incorporate charge transport mechanisms and use machine learning techniques to optimize model performance.
  • Validate the model with experimental data and lead publications in high-impact scientific journals.
