Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Doctoral Degree: Must have a doctoral degree by the application deadline.
  • Experience: Less than 7 years of research experience post-PhD.
  • Mobility Requirement: Cannot have resided or worked in Finland for more than 12 months in the last 36 months prior to the call deadline.
  • Nationality: Open to applicants of any nationality.
  • Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English, demonstrated if necessary.
  • Document Submission: Applications must adhere to provided templates.

Job Description:

The NOVEL programme is focused on advancing brain health through interdisciplinary research combining neuroscience, data science, innovation management, and social and legal studies. The selected postdoctoral researchers will be part of a dynamic research environment that includes mandatory intersectoral secondments with non-academic partners, providing a well-rounded career development path.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct independent research in alignment with the research areas.
  • Collaborate with international teams to develop innovative solutions for brain health challenges.
  • Engage in mentoring and training activities, including participation in summer schools.
  • Contribute to publications and presentations at academic conferences.

  7. Additional proof of English proficiency if required.
