Location: Teknopark İstanbul, 34906 Pendik, Turkey
Eligibility/Qualification:
- MSc and PhD in Chemistry (preferably Organic Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, or Materials Chemistry)
- Expertise in synthetic chemistry, organic synthesis, and polymer design
- Strong background in graphene synthesis, functionalization, and carbon-based nanomaterials
- Hands-on experience in wet chemistry, organic reactions, and material integration
- Familiarity with sustainable chemistry approaches using thermoplastic and thermoset-based sources
- Proficiency in NMR, SEM, XRD, XPS, Raman Spectroscopy, FTIR, DSC, TGA, and rheometer
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
- Strong English communication skills (written and spoken)
Job Description:
- Synthesize, functionalize, and modify graphene and 2D materials
- Develop graphene-reinforced composites for multi-processing techniques such as injection molding, hot pressing, and compression
- Explore sustainable synthesis routes using thermoplastic and thermoset waste sources
- Characterize and analyze materials using various advanced techniques
- Contribute to scientific reporting and publication preparation
- Collaborate with both industrial and academic partners on research projects
