Eligibility/Qualification:
- Completed PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Proficiency in programming languages (Python, C/C++, Julia).
- Background in machine learning methods and experience in developing, training, and tuning machine learning models.
- Familiarity with collaborative software development and version control systems (Git).
- Experience with electronic structure and molecular dynamics simulation codes (VASP, QuantumEspresso, CP2K, LAMMPS).
- Motivated to work in a team-oriented environment with excellent communication skills.
Job Description:
In this position, you will:
- Generate datasets using first-principles simulation software (density functional theory and related codes).
- Utilize automated workflows on high-performance computing systems for efficient data generation.
- Develop transferable machine learning models tailored to materials science applications.
- Collaborate with peers within and beyond the research group on related research topics.
- Mentor junior group members and engage in international collaboration.
- Present scientific findings at academic venues and publish research in peer-reviewed journals.
