About- The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) is inviting applications for a project appointment on a contractual basis. The appointment will be renewable yearly or until the duration of the project, whichever is earlier. Candidates of Indian nationality are invited to appear for a walk-in test/interview for this project appointment under the “Pre-compliance and Clinical Validation of Implantable and Diagnostic Devices” project.

Eligibility/Qualification–

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must possess:

  • PhD degree
  • First Class or Second Class in Master’s/Integrated Master’s degree in Life Sciences disciplines such as:
    • Biotechnology
    • Biochemistry
    • Microbiology
    • Biophysics
    • Molecular Biology
  • Degree should be from a recognized university/institute.

Desirable Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates having:

  • Research experience in cancer biology
  • Publications in reputed journals
  • Expertise in:
    • In vitro cancer biology
    • Cell culture techniques (organoid/tumoroid culture)
    • Molecular biology
    • Big-data analysis

Job/Position Description- 

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post of Project Research Scientist (Non-Medical) under an Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) funded project at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. The position is based in the School of Biological Sciences under the supervision of Prof. Saran Kumar and focuses on advanced breast cancer research involving cancer biology, molecular biology, organoid/tumoroid culture, and big-data analysis.

The appointment will be purely contractual with consolidated fellowship and will remain valid up to the project duration or yearly renewal basis, whichever is earlier.

Designation: Project Research Scientist (Non-Medical)

The selected candidate will work on an ICMR-funded breast cancer research project at IIT Delhi. The role involves conducting advanced experimental and analytical research in cancer biology, including molecular biology experiments, cell culture handling, organoid/tumoroid studies, and data analysis related to cancer research.

The candidate is also expected to contribute to scientific publications, laboratory coordination, and project-related research activities under the guidance of the Principal Investigator.
