Eligibility/Qualification:

Job Description:

The PhD candidate will address the question of how the genus Homo converged towards a single representative by exploring various factors influencing human evolution through a possibilistic modelling approach. The research will involve:

  • Compiling expert knowledge on palaeoecosystems.
  • Formalising this knowledge within a possibilistic model using the EDEN formalism.
  • Analyzing alternative evolutionary scenarios of the Homo genus system between 4 and 1 million years ago.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of researchers across various scientific fields.
