- Subsequent 24 months at the Joint Research Centre (Petten, Netherlands)
Eligibility/Qualification
- Master’s degree in Energy, Chemistry, Physics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficient knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Matlab or Python) with documented experience.
- Familiarity with market-available Li-ion battery technologies.
- Experience in predictive model development is a plus.
- Must be a national of an EU Member State or a country associated with Research Framework Programs, or a resident in a Member State for at least five years.
- Excellent communication skills in English (a language proficiency certificate is required if not previously taught in English).
- Must not have exceeded 12 months of work as an assistant funded by operating resources.
Job Description
The PhD project involves:
- Conducting experimental studies on battery performance, durability, and safety.
- Developing smart tools and techniques for lifetime extension of batteries.
- Writing technical reports and scientific articles.
- Presenting research at national and international conferences.
- Potentially supervising bachelor and/or master student projects.
