Research Area

The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to research in organometallic chemistry and its applications in catalysis and advanced materials, focusing on non-precious metals such as iron, cobalt, nickel, and manganese.

Eligibility/Qualification

Required

  1. Ph.D. degree in Organometallic Chemistry (main group or transition metal) or Organic Chemistry.
  2. Experience in organic synthesis during Ph.D. studies.
  3. Strong ability to plan, think, and conduct research independently.
  4. Ability to collaborate effectively with lab members and the Principal Investigator (PI).

Preferred

  1. Experience in organometallic chemistry.
  2. Strong background in organic synthesis.
  3. Experience in theoretical chemical calculations.

Job Description

The successful candidate will engage in:

  • Synthesis of organometallic compounds using glovebox and Schlenk line techniques.
  • Synthesis of ligands and substrates via organic synthesis.
  • Analysis of compounds and reactions using NMR, SCXRD, GC, GCMS, EPR, etc.
  • Conducting high-pressure reactions (up to 10 bar) using pressure reactors.
  • Exploration of electrochemistry and photochemistry of organometallic complexes.
  • Performing theoretical chemical calculations.
