DegreeExcellent university degree (M.Sc. / Diploma) in NLP, ML, or related field of computer science
ExperienceKnowledge in NLP, ML, LLMs; software development, especially full-stack web development
Programming SkillsStrong proficiency in Python (torch, numpy, pandas, transformers, langchain, etc.) and JavaScript/TypeScript (Vue.js and Node.js is a plus)
LanguageFluent in English; proficiency in German is an advantage
Personal SkillsHigh self-motivation, performance-oriented, willingness to contribute to university teaching

Description:

The successful candidate will engage in developing machine learning and NLP models for detecting machine-generated text, focusing on distinguishing between human-written and AI-generated passages. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting research and developing viable solutions
  • Expanding and adapting existing web services for data collection
  • Implementing prototypes and ensuring their deployment
  • Managing data collection, annotation, and organisation
  • Preparing research reports and publications
  • Attending seminars and conferences to present scientific findings
