Eligibility/Qualification
Applicants must hold:
- An MSc, DVM, or MD degree
- A PhD with research experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Clinical or molecular microbiology
- Animal infection models
- Use of pigs as a model organism
- Immunogenicity assessment (e.g., ELISA, flow cytometry, cell culture-based assays)
- Cell culture infection assays
Preference will be given to those with:
- Experience in industry-academia collaboration projects
- Project coordination capabilities
- Significant experience in scientific writing and publishing
Job Description
The postdoctoral project is central to a Novo Nordisk Foundation initiative aimed at developing anti-infective drugs and vaccines. Key tasks include:
- Designing, coordinating, and executing experiments involving pigs
- Evaluating drug and vaccine efficacy through laboratory analysis of pig-derived samples
- Collaborating with various departments at SDU, including the Department of Cancer and Inflammation and The Biomedical Laboratory, to conduct immunological assays.
- Engaging in research translation from basic science to improved patient care.
