Eligibility/Qualification

Applicants must hold:

  • An MSc, DVM, or MD degree
  • A PhD with research experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Clinical or molecular microbiology
  • Animal infection models
  • Use of pigs as a model organism
  • Immunogenicity assessment (e.g., ELISA, flow cytometry, cell culture-based assays)
  • Cell culture infection assays

Preference will be given to those with:

  • Experience in industry-academia collaboration projects
  • Project coordination capabilities
  • Significant experience in scientific writing and publishing

Job Description

The postdoctoral project is central to a Novo Nordisk Foundation initiative aimed at developing anti-infective drugs and vaccines. Key tasks include:

  • Designing, coordinating, and executing experiments involving pigs
  • Evaluating drug and vaccine efficacy through laboratory analysis of pig-derived samples
  • Collaborating with various departments at SDU, including the Department of Cancer and Inflammation and The Biomedical Laboratory, to conduct immunological assays.
  • Engaging in research translation from basic science to improved patient care.
