Eligibility/Qualification
- A doctoral degree in materials science or chemistry, specializing in nanoparticle synthesis and characterization.
- Expertise in plasmonic nanostructures is essential.
- Experience with transmission electron microscopy (including EELS) and/or ellipsometry is a strong advantage.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in an academic setting.
Job Description
In this position, the successful candidate will:
- Conduct microwave-assisted synthesis of metallic and semiconducting nanoparticles.
- Perform structural and morphological characterization of nanoparticles.
- Investigate the optical properties of plasmonic nanoparticles using techniques such as UV-Vis and Raman spectroscopy.
- Prepare colloidal dispersions for thin film fabrication.
- Collaborate with consortium partners across various scientific disciplines.
- Supervise Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD students.
- Contribute to scientific publications and present research findings at conferences.
