Eligibility/Qualification

  • A doctoral degree in materials science or chemistry, specializing in nanoparticle synthesis and characterization.
  • Expertise in plasmonic nanostructures is essential.
  • Experience with transmission electron microscopy (including EELS) and/or ellipsometry is a strong advantage.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in an academic setting.

Job Description

In this position, the successful candidate will:

  • Conduct microwave-assisted synthesis of metallic and semiconducting nanoparticles.
  • Perform structural and morphological characterization of nanoparticles.
  • Investigate the optical properties of plasmonic nanoparticles using techniques such as UV-Vis and Raman spectroscopy.
  • Prepare colloidal dispersions for thin film fabrication.
  • Collaborate with consortium partners across various scientific disciplines.
  • Supervise Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD students.
  • Contribute to scientific publications and present research findings at conferences.
