Recommended Skills:
- Experience with molecular biology techniques (DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, sequencing).

Description
The successful candidate will conduct experimental work in a geomicrobiology laboratory, focusing on:
- DNA/RNA extractions, PCR, qPCR, sequencing, and bioinformatics analyses.
- Laboratory analyses of microbes and dissolved organic matter from natural samples.
- Presentation of research findings at international conferences and preparation of scientific articles.
This project is supervised by Dr. Gonzalo V. Gomez-Saez and is supported by DFG funding for a part-time position (65%) over a maximum duration of three years.
