Eligibility/Qualification
Essential
- PhD and/or MD degree in biomedical science, bioinformatics, computer science, or a related field.
- Strong coding experience in programming languages such as Python or Java.
- Familiarity with data and metadata standards in biomedical repositories.
- Understanding of taxonomies, biomedical ontologies, and health-related terminologies.
- Demonstrable communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
Preferred
- Experience with NLP methods and models, especially BERT.
- Background in text mining, named entity recognition, and ontology linking.
- Knowledge of large language models and their application in biomedical contexts.
Job Description
As a Bioinformatics Analyst – NLP Postdoctoral Fellow, your responsibilities will include:
- Training and fine-tuning AI models using the CellLink corpus.
- Optimizing extraction of relationships between cell phenotypes and other biological entities.
- Collaborating on the development of a knowledge graph database for NLM-CKN.
- Enhancing query tools utilizing AI chatbots.
- Ensuring data adherence to FAIR principles.
