Eligibility/Qualification

Minimum Qualifications:

  • PhD in molecular biology of plants or fungi, genomics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with molecular techniques to characterize cellular or organismal phenotypes.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in genomic library preparation.
  • Background working with filamentous fungi.
  • Proficiency in command line bioinformatic analysis.
  • Familiarity with transcriptional regulation or epigenomics.

Job Description

The selected candidate will complete federally funded research as part of a project titled “The role of heterochromatin in regulating fungal infection and evolution.” The position will require collaboration within a team-focused environment utilizing both lab and computational methods.
