Eligibility/Qualification
- Required Degree: Completed Master’s degree (or equivalent) in neuroscience, biochemistry, genetics, data science, or related fields.
- Skills:
- Strong background in cell biology and/or neuroscience.
- Fluency in English (C1 level); knowledge of French or German is desirable but not required.
- Experience in biochemistry, genetics, computer science, or data science is an asset.
- Willingness to participate in a research stay abroad (secondment).
Description
The successful applicants will join a multi-disciplinary team focused on unraveling the mechanisms in the retina that link energy demands with information processing. The structured PhD program offers mentoring, support, and opportunities to develop a personalized skill set. PhD trainees will earn either a doctorate (Dr. rer. nat.) from the Graduate Training Center for Neuroscience at the University of Tübingen or a PhD from Sorbonne University.
