Research Area

The research will focus on the integration of electronic and mechanical degrees of freedom in quantum devices, particularly using carbon nanotubes, to explore thermodynamic quantities such as work and heat.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Possession of a relevant PhD/DPhil (or nearing completion).
  • Experimental expertise in electrical characterization of quantum devices at cryogenic temperatures is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills for writing publications, presenting research proposals, and representing the research group.

Job Description

The appointed researcher will:

  • Fabricate and characterize devices.
  • Perform low-temperature experiments using radio-frequency readout circuits.
  • Collaborate with theorists to develop novel experiments for studying quantum thermodynamics.
