Eligibility-
- Candidates must have a good academic record (with minimum of 60% or equivalent grade from Graduation onwards and 55% or equivalent grade in class 10th and 12th).
- A PhD degree in Theoretical Particle Physics. Candidates who have submitted their thesis are equally eligible for the application.
- Experience in B-physics and/or Dark Matter physics will be given preferences.
Job/Position Description-
Postdoctoral position in Dynamic Behavior of Materials (Experimental or Computational Solid Mechanics) Applications are invited from motivated and qualified candidates for a postdoctoral position in the area of the Dynamic behavior of materials with expertise either in Experimental (or) Computational Solid Mechanics.
Job Description: A successful candidate will conduct research in one of the two areas: a) characterization of advanced materials to identify their dynamic response, with a primary focus on experimental investigation of foams. The scope of the research includes the design and development of a Split-Hopkinson Pressure bar facility to investigate the rate effects on the constitutive response of foams, or b) material model development and computational implementation to investigate the dynamic behavior of foams. The position is ideally suited for applicants with a strong background in experimental and/or computational solid mechanics.
Duration: One-year appointment initially, will be extended for another year based on performance.
Remuneration: 72,000 INR per month (consolidated)
