Postdoctoral Fellow in Molecular Biology: The Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology in Plön is seeking a dedicated Postdoctoral Fellow to explore the role of cell signaling in the circalunar clock of the intertidal midge, Clunio marinus. This position offers a fully funded opportunity to contribute to pioneering research within an international and interdisciplinary environment.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD degree in Biology or related fields (postdoctoral experience is a plus).
  • Strong background in molecular biology, including cell culture and in vitro assays.
  • Experience in the study of cell signaling.
  • Additional experience with immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization (ISH), and microscopy is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to participate in the supervision of students.

Job Description

  • Conduct research to uncover the molecular basis of circalunar clocks.

  • Participate in teaching, public outreach, and ecological field work.
