Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Chemical Biology, Neuroscience, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in protein engineering (rational design, directed evolution, computational design).
  • Proficiency in molecular biology techniques (cloning, AAV handling) and cell culture testing (HEK cells, primary neuron culture).
  • Familiarity with biochemical assays, animal testing, imaging, and data analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently and collaboratively.

Job Description:

The selected candidate will:

  • Engage in high-throughput screening assays and design activity-dependent labeling enzymes.
  • Validate and apply tools in mice, collaborating with both labs.
  • Participate in research environments involving techniques like calcium imaging, optogenetics, and single-cell RNA sequencing.
  • Contribute to the development of technologies for modulating neural circuits and studying behaviors related to the body-brain axis.
