Eligibility/Qualification:
- A PhD/DPhil or near completion of a PhD/DPhil in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in molecular biology techniques, particularly recombinant DNA techniques.
- Proficiency in expression and purification of recombinant proteins and biochemical/biophysical characterization methods.
- Knowledge and experience in mammalian cell culture and associated techniques.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of writing for publication and presenting research.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will:
- Investigate the mechanisms of Wnt pathway activation and termination at the plasma membrane.
- Build on previous successes in the biochemical reconstitution of the beta-catenin destruction complex.
- Utilize state-of-the-art tools such as CRISPR approaches and super-resolution microscopy to study cytoplasmic signal transduction protein regulation.
- Work both independently and as part of a collaborative team to achieve research objectives.
