Eligibility/Qualification
- A two-year master’s degree (120 ECTS points) or equivalent.
- Background in photonics and condensed-matter physics.
- Passion for theoretical and computational physics.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Prior experience in photonic crystals, band topology, or symmetry analysis is an advantage.
- Excellent GPA or a proven track record in relevant research.
Description
The candidate will engage in theoretical and computational work, focusing on:
- Numerical computation and analysis of photonic properties.
- Development of models to enhance theoretical understanding.
- Proposal and evaluation of designs for experimental demonstrations.
In addition, the PhD student will take courses, participate in teaching, conduct external research, and publish findings.
