Postdoctoral Researcher in Particle Toxicology: The Institute of Environmental Medicine (IMM) at Karolinska Institutet invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Particle Toxicology. This role focuses on advanced research in the effects of metals and particles on human health, primarily through in vitro studies.

– Experience in in vitro toxicity testing of particles
– Experience with in vitro 3D models, DNA damage assays, etc.

Job Description

The successful candidate will:

  • Conduct toxicological studies on particles from fires involving novel materials.
  • Analyze human exposure data from firefighters exposed to emissions.
  • Engage in all project stages including experimental design, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.
  • Employ traditional toxicological assays, toxicogenomics, and new methodologies for cancer potency assessment.
