Eligibility/Qualification

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field
  • Effective R programming skills
  • Previous research experience in statistical genetics/genomics/omics
  • A track record of research productivity (publications in peer-reviewed journals)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Research experience and/or interest in cardiometabolic diseases
  • Interest in pursuing an academic or research-related career
  • CITI training

Job Description

The selected candidate will work closely with Dr. Jim Pankow, Dr. Tess Peterson, and their collaborators. Responsibilities include:

  • Data Analysis: Engage in large dataset analyses (65% of time).
  • Scientific Dissemination: Publish research findings and present at local, national, or international conferences (25% of time).
  • Professional Development: Participate in skill-building courses, workshops, seminars, and conferences (10% of time).
