Research Area
The research focuses on developing new therapeutic strategies against intracellular infections caused by alpha-herpes and influenza viruses, as well as bacteria significant for their pathogenicity. The aim is to explore and activate cellular defense mechanisms to control these pathogens.
Eligibility/Qualification
Candidates must have:
- An equivalent of a master’s or diploma degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or a degree in Medicine.
Description
The PhD fellows will engage in a comprehensive training program led by 13 international scientists with diverse expertise. The research will employ innovative high-end omics techniques alongside advanced bioinformatics, cell and molecular biology methods, and artificial intelligence. Validation of protective host-cell mechanisms will be conducted using relevant infection models such as human organoids, induced pluripotent stem cells, and primary human cells.
How to Apply
Interested candidates should apply via the dedicated application link provided on the research training group’s webpage. Note that only applications submitted through the specified link will be considered.
