Eligibility/Qualification

  • A PhD degree in governance studies, criminology, cyber security, or a related field.
  • Demonstrable research experience in governance of cyber security.
  • A growing publication record showcasing outstanding research qualities.
  • Experience with research-led teaching is advantageous.
  • A passion for education, with a commitment to fostering an interdisciplinary academic community.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Dutch is considered an asset.

Job Description

The successful candidate will:

  • Conduct independent and collaborative research on (cyber) crisis management and governance of cyber crime.
  • Collect and analyze data related to cyber security governance.
  • Produce high-quality academic outputs for international peer-reviewed journals.
  • Work in a multidisciplinary team, supporting the development and implementation of the Institute’s research strategy.
  • Teach various courses within the institute, including the MSc in Crisis and Security Management.
  • Supervise student thesis and capstone projects.
