Eligibility/Qualification

  • Essential:
  • PhD (or close to completion) in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, chemical biology, or a related discipline.
  • Strong track record in synthetic organic chemistry, including route design and compound characterization.
  • Solid understanding of medicinal chemistry concepts and drug discovery workflows.
  • Desirable:
  • Experience with biophysical techniques (e.g., SPR, ITC, DSF) and DNA-encoded library (DEL) screening.
  • Experience in chemical biology and antibacterial drug discovery.
  • Experience in collaborative consortium-based research environments.

Job Description

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead their own project involving the design and synthesis of small molecules.
  • Apply medicinal chemistry principles, emphasizing structure–activity relationship (SAR) analysis.
  • Collaborate with microbiologists, biochemists, and structural biologists.
  • Conduct biophysical characterization of protein-ligand interactions and/or DEL screening.
  • Analyze data, maintain clear experimental records, and prepare manuscripts for publication.
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive lab environment and support junior researchers.
