Eligibility/Qualification
General Admission Requirements:
- Master’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- Alternatively, at least 240 credits with 60 from the second cycle.
Specific Admission Requirements:
- At least 60 second-cycle credits relevant to the research topic.
- MSc in Engineering in relevant fields (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, etc.).
Additional Requirements:
- Strong mathematical skills and programming knowledge.
- Experience in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
Other Qualifications:
- Knowledge in robot perception or related fields.
- Experience with ROS/ROS2 and PyTorch is preferred.
Description
The PhD project, supervised by Assoc. Prof. Eren E. Aksoy, will involve developing advanced AI methods for multi-modal sensor fusion, optimizing complex perception tasks such as object detection and semantic segmentation. The successful candidate will participate in research projects, seminars, and conferences, and will engage in a collaborative research environment within the Robotics and Semantic Systems division.
