Job Description
As part of a National Research Foundation Investigatorship grant, the selected candidate will develop high-throughput techniques to isolate and study microbial diversity. Responsibilities will include:
- Employing single-cell dispensing technologies
- Utilizing genome-resolved metagenomics, flow-cytometry, and Raman spectroscopy
- Functionally interrogating strains and studying microbial interactions
- Building in silico models of community assembly
- Identifying microbes and their functions contributing to colonization resistance against multi-drug resistant bacteria
